Senator Cardin believes DOMA is unconstitutional and is co-sponsor of a Senate Bill (The Respect for Marriage Act) which would repeal DOMA.
Carson married Candy Rustin-whom he met at Yale-in 1975; she holds a M.B.A. degree and is an accomplished musician, and both are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, an evangelical Christian denomination. They have three sons, Murray, Benjamin Jr., and Rhoeyce.

Senator Nelson does not favor the repeal of DOMA.
Previous answer: Probably so since he played the main character Joseph in "Joseph: King of Dreams". Response: Portraying a Biblical character does not mean a person is a Christian (follower of Jesus Christ). It means that they accepted a job. Many people who portray Biblical characters, even Christ, do not have a relationship with the Lord. As far as Ben Affleck goes, he says he believes in a "higher power", but that does not confirm him as a Christian. A Christian is one who puts their faith and trust in Christ alone for their salvation. Ben Affleck has not confirmed that this is the stance he takes.
