First is to scan the SLAPPING through the four noble truths:
1. Sufferings are felt.
Therefore, the pain when one gets slapped is something you can't deny. Also, after slapping a person , the regrets, loss of peace of mind , unhappiness etc. are things that you can't deny. It is just felt and we can't pretend it as not felt.
2. The slapping was caused.
May be i cheated someone, stolen something, lied about something, abuse someone, slapped someone, killed someone and so on. Why? because I was having a false desire to be better, felt better, look better or sound better in that way.
3. The Slapping could have avoided by understanding and commanding the above causes.
4. The 3rd Noble Truth is accomplished by the following logic:
WISDOM
i. Right view
ii. Right intention
Ethical Conduct
iii. Right speech
iv. Right action
v. Right livelihood
Mental Development
vi. Right mindulness
vii. Right efforts
viii. Right concentration.
