∙ 7y agoDay of the Dead, is the day before November 1st[ day of the Saints], it's known as Halloween to us. Day of the Dead is when people bake goods for the members of their family that have passed on. In different cultures they do different things like in Mexico they stay in the graveyard all night and celebrate, play games, and even 'talk' to their ancestors and loved ones, while giving offerings like skull candies and many other sweets. They place beautiful arches decorated with flowers.

this alter is for the dead ones and on this day they celebrate the death and dress up with skulls and such. its very fun and happy, not like our death.
