A modern Formula One car is a single-seat, open cockpit, open wheel race car with substantial front and rear wings, and engine positioned behind the driver. The regulations governing the cars are unique to the championship. The Formula One regulations specify that cars must be constructed by the racing teams themselves. These cars are built for pure speed and performance. The top speed of a F1 car can be as high as 330 kmph.

No I don't , its a boring procession. Whoever is on the first two rows invariably end up on the podium.

The changes to the rules have not made it any better in my view.

They have tried to encourage more overtaking by bringing in DRS but I don't think it works .

They've changed the tyre regulations so that the cars have to use another set that are harder or softer than the ones they were using , the tyre manufacturers are required to supply tyres that are designed to wear out quickly -- where's the sense in that ?

And I think the rules concerning the altering of the rear wing configuration are just plain dangerous !

Once upon a time they used to say that racing cars helped to improve the cars that you or I use on the road !

I have been an avid follower of motor sport for over sixty years but this rubbish that they call F1 is for me just not exciting any more.
