Plaza de la Catedral (Cathedral Square) is a section of Havana known as Old Havana. Some of the buildings date back to the 18th century. Work on the church that would eventually give this area its name began in 1727. It has now become a very popular tourist stop. Craft stands fill up the square selling almost everything from standard crafts to unique paintings.
