Unfortunately, one of the things John F. Kennedy is remembered for is that he was assassinated in November 1963. Before that, he was remembered for being a young and dynamic leader (with a beautiful and photogenic wife) as well as for being the first Catholic president in U.S. history.

John F Kennedy was famous for being the American president but in 1969, an unimaginable disaster happened.

One day, throughout a parade, someone shot him whilst he was travelling with his family in a car.

Answer: For my generation he's famous for dying very publicly and suspiciously. Conspiracy theories are not uncommon.
