This term has some religious meaning. "For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts," -2nd Timothy 3:6 The word "silly" in the Greek means "a little woman" (used contemptuously; i.e., without respect; in a disdainful manner). These women (and men) are little people, the wrong crowd, slanderers, living for the pleasures of sin for a moment. *Religious dogma aside; a "silly woman" is simply the opposite gender of a "silly man." *Also note that the term "silly" as defined by the original questioner is translated as such in the KJV, ASV, and a few others. The NIV refers to a "weak-willed" woman, the RSV translates it as a "weak" woman, and the New King James Version renders it as a "gullible" woman.
