The pituitary gland which is located at the base of the brain;sometimes called the master gland ;of the endocrine system.It is no larger than a pea;but does great work.It's main thing is to stimulate horomes in parts of the body.ACTH-stimulates the adrenal gland,TSH-thyroid glan,FSH-the ovaries and the testes.Melanocyte-to control skin color and pigmentation.antiduretic-to control water absorption into the blood and kidneys.Oxyytocin to contract the uterus at chid birth and stimulate milk production,But i was unable to find anything about polpeptides in the pituitary gland.
