A niche is essentially when, where, and how the animal lives. A Bottle-nose dolphin lives near the top of the food-chain, although it still has some predators, such as the great white shark. It's territory is the ocean- it lives in many different areas, so you can look up its habitat. The dolphin feeds off of schools of fish, and sometimes squid. Some species of dolphins also migrate, depending on the location of the animal.

There are tons of examples of biotic factors in a dolphin's environment because the ocean's ecosystem is so complex. A few examples would be krill that they prey on, sharks that might be predators towards them, or microbacteria that decomposes them when they die. A great website to find information on dolphins is http://www.tangalooma.com/dolphinweb/schoolprojects/theme5.asp.

A bottled nose dolphin is a species of a dolphin. The Bottlenose Dolphin is one of the most common and well-known dolphins. Recent molecular studies show it is in fact two species, the Common Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and the Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin (T. aduncus).
A dolphin's snout is called a rostrum. Same goes for an alligator, crocodile etc.

One adaptation of a Bottle-nosed Dolphin is that it has a stream-lined body to help it swim faster in the water. Another adaptation of this animal is that it has a layer of blubber to keep it warm when it is cold.
