Cellular respiration is the process of turning oxygen and glucose into water, energy, and carbon dioxide inside cells. This process is the exact opposite process of photosynthesis. In photosynthesis, water, energy, and carbon dioxide are turned into oxygen and glucose inside chloroplasts. Plant cells also have mitochondria, so photosynthesis and cellular respiration both occur in plants.

Cellular Respiration (Breathing)

C6H12O6 + O2 => H2O + CO2 + Energy (Released during process)

glucose(sugar)+oxygen => water+carbon dioxide + energy

Photosynthesis:

H2O + CO2 + Energy (From Sun) => O2 + C6H12O6

water +carbon dioxide+energy=>Oxygen+glucose(sugar)

What is the name of a cell that has stopped assembling ATP?

The name of a cell that has stopped assembling ATP is anaerobic, meaning to be without oxygen. What occurs is Anoxia: a situation in which there is no available oxygen in the cell. Without oxygen the respiratory chain stops, there is no ATP production, the cell does not obtain energy and then dies.

What are the similarities between cell membrane and resipratory system?

There are no similarities between cell membranes and the respiratory system. Cell membranes have a protective and exchanging function while respiratory system produces energy.

Name the respiratory surface in the lungs?

Respiratory surface is the region where gaseous exchange occur. It includes respiratory bronchiole, alveolar duct and alveolus. Large surface surface is needed the increase the diffusion rate of gaseous. Respiratory surface also exhibit other properties such as moist and only one-cell thick. Nika G.

no they are to small to have a respiratory system or organ so they breath through there cell membrane

What cell is the Cell Membrane in?

The respiratory membrane consists of the epithelial cells of the alveolus, the endothelial cells of the capillary, and the two fused basement membranes of these layers.Gas exchange occurs across this respiratory membrane.
