Phylum Ciliophora is a large and diverse group which includes complex protozoans, such as paramecium, Stentor, spirostomum and vorticella. Their locomotion is by cilia, and all forms are multinucleate.
Cilia is not an organism so it cannot be in a phylum.
cilia phorus
Ciliophora
they moved by tiny hair projeotion called cilia
its C for Plato users! The rotor-like crown of cilia they use to draw food into the mouth
Noun: A single-celled freshwater animal (genus Paramecium, phylum Ciliophora) that has a characteristic slipperlike shape and is covered with cilia. got that from the dictionary ;)

Paramecium have cilia that cover their bodies. They belong to phylum Ciliophora of Protozoa in which group ciliate is present.

Vortachella is a protist in the phylum ciliophora. It moves by beating its cilia in synchronization, creating a wave of water that propels it forward. It also uses the cilia to "beat" food into its oral groove and mouth pore. The movement of the cilia create a funnel like vaccum that sucks it food in to be digested. - Zonk!~
Sponges have a cavity lined with specialized cells that absorb the food that enters or is swept in by cilia. Not very complex.
They are both single celled protists, but Euglena is of Euglenozoa phylum, which has flagella, and Paramecium are cillates with cilia for motility.

Phylum Ciliophora are the type of protists that move by means of short hair-like projections. These hair-like projections are called cilia.
