Someone who is suffering from Anorexia Nervosa really should be under medical supervision. Depending on how bad the eating disorder is, the BMI of the individual and the length of the self-starvation, starting to eat 'normal' could very well shock the body and actually be very harmful. It might be a good idea (aside from a general doctor) for the individual suffering from the eating disorder to see a nutritionist/dietitian. Many of them specialize in eating disorder meal plans, and because of that, they know how to slowly increase food intake without overwhelming the individual too much. (It is a scary thing and shouldn't be discounted.) Hope this helps. :)
