Central Saint Martins College is and has always been viewed as the Worlds greatest fashion college. To be honest, FIT doesn't even deserve to be in the top 5. No good fashion designers have come out of America in years.

There are many fashion colleges in the United States and even around the world, but the one college that's always stood out to me and my friends is FIDM/The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA. They're Fashion Design program alone is stellar and if you look them up on Wikipedia in the Related Link below and even on the FIDM website in its Related Link below, their list of successful alumni says a lot about the college and their reputation within the fashion industry. The school is great for students who are serious about pursing a career in fashion and aren't afraid of hard work!

In terms of the best college for fashion design, I would say FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA is a great fashion college. My friends graduated from FIDM and they rave about the school and their fashion programs. FIDM is actually known for their fashion design program all around the world. Parson's in New York is very well known. Many distinguished designers have come from there. Also Kent State in Ohio has an excellent fashion department. They have courses for both fashion merchandising and design. :)

SCAD, FIDM, American Intercontinental University, Ath Art Institute of Pittsburgh and IADT offers varying forms of fashion degrees. Schools that offer a degree in Retail Management can also be considered as it gives you the business experience need in the fashion industry and are available at Strayer University and the University of Pheonix.
