Best Answer

H2O2 is the chemical formula for hydrogen peroxide, which is the simplest stable peroxide. The formula means that each hydrogen peroxide molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms (H2) and two oxygen atoms (O2).

Some atoms contain 2 pairing & this is refered to as coefficient. Hydrogen is coefficient(2H) & oxygen is coefficient(2O) so the actual compound(covalent bond ) for water is read H402 = 2H + 2H + 2O.. This is shorthand in chemistry which is refered to as the Empiricle Formula. The only theoretical occurance of H20 is in natural water currents in wake & tides where the liquid expands & contracts, sometimes forming compressed H8O4. It is a common myth that standing water is written as h20, but you are actually drinking a glass of H4O2. Remember when they use to advertize this on bottled water?? Sucker!!

H2O4 is a dimer of HO2.

HO2 is hydrogen super-oxide obtained from hydrogen peroxide and oxygen at -196° C, which decomposes spontaneously at -115°C. into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen.
