The treatment of Diabetes is a vast field. This is just my own personal approach, which might possibly empower anyone reading it and relieve their tension and stress. In any case, this is not a prescription to treat diabetes.

When I was diagnosed of diabetes, the first feeling was that of despair, pity, disgust, helplessness and shame about self. I felt crippled. This was compounded by the mercy or sympathy that I got from others. The thought of diabetic complications, dependency on doctors, drugs and social support made me miserable. I decided to take my own responsibility and began to focus on: 1. practice of NAMASMARAN. 2. Drinking a glass of water every morning. 3. Stopping sugar in every form. 4. Eating fruits in moderation. 5. Doing pranayam on empty stomach. 6. Taking metformin and gliacazide only after food. 7. Not getting panicky if blood sugar shot up. 8. Eating sprouted beans and salads. 9. Eating Tulsi leaves and Neem leaves every day along with chyavanaprash and taking Ayurvedic antidiabetics alongside. 10. Taking bath every day twice. 11. Changing clothes every day twice. 12. Practicing all the varieties of exercise techniques which toned up all muscles and internal and external organs such as lungs and eyes. 13. Remembering that one can die or get disabled by hundreds of causes and not merely diabetes. Diabetes is not a curse. 14. Not expecting a support as I had no reason to feel miserable.15. The most important thing is: Getting involved in the work that I cherished maximally i.e. the activity of SUPERLIVING or TOTAL STRESS MANAGEMENT.

Treatment of gestational diabetes depends on the severity of the case.

For women who test on the borderline of gestational diabetes, often the only treatment is a diabetic diet (low carb, low sugar) and exercise. Those who test with high blood sugar will need to take insulin injections as well as diet and exercise to maintain normal blood sugar levels.

It's important to talk to your doctor about your treatment plan. If left untreated, gestational diabetes can have many adverse affects on your fetus.

A healthy diabetic diet involves strictly limiting carb and sugar intake. In most cases you don't have to completely eliminate carbs and sugars from your diet, but they need to be in moderation. Make a goal to eat no more than 45 grams of carbs at each meal. Always pair carbs with proteins, dairy and vegetables for a balanced meal. If you want to allow yourself a sweet, don't overindulge. Have one piece of chocolate but only after meals, never on its own (it can cause the blood sugar to spike).

Foods that seem healthy but you should avoid if you have gestational diabetes: Orange Juice, yogurt with added sugar, most cereals, granola with added sugar, most fruit.

Be sure to ask your doctor for more insight on what your diet plan should be.

There are several ways to treat diabetes mellitus. Usually a two step process is recommended such as changing your diet and some types of drugs are also used to aid in the treatment.

You should be concerned. If you don't change your diet your future will not be bright.

You just have to change your diet and it's not as hard as you think.

You need to adopt a low carbohydrate /ketogenic diet. I was in the same boat

as you 18 months ago, so I know it can be done. Today my blood sugar is normal

and I don't take any medicine! Here are some tips to help you get started.
