Each of the two Pokemon has its roles in the Uber metagame. Dialga is generally regarded as an outstanding all-around Pokemon. It can fill multiple roles on teams and provide great resistances with its dragon/steel typing. Its great stats allow it to potentially be a sweeper both physically and specially. It can run stat-up sets, sweeper sets, choice sets, you name it. It also has a unique role in VGC (or tournament Doubles) as a bulky Trick Room user. Hp: 100 Att: 120 Def: 120 SpA: 150 SpD: 100 Spe: 90 Mewtwo is also known as an oustanding all-around Pokemon. It is found offensively as well as defensively. Generally, it is used with more of a specially focused move set in mind. It is usually found running a calm mind + taunt set in Pokemon battles. It can, however, also run choice sets, other sweeper sets, defensive sets, and a Dual Screen set as well. Hp: 106 Att: 110 Def: 90 SpA: 154 SpD: 90 Spe: 130 Let's look at it stat wise. Mewtwo has a higher Speed. Dialga has a higher attack, defense, and special defense. They're essentially tied in Hp and SpA. Stat-wise, Dialga is superior. However, do keep in mind that movesets and party Pokemon are a large factor in the effectiveness of a Pokemon. Speed is also essential as a sweeper. In the end, I would have to say that both Mewtwo and Dialga are extremely viable Pokemon in the Uber tier. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, and neither one has a distinct advantage over the other.
