some companies make conversion kits to put motors such as chey-305,350. theres also others such as v-6's. But if you wanna keep it all Toyota you can get a 22re motor from lcengineering.com with up to 50hp increase. all depends on you and what you want.

Possibilities: Fuel mixture is WAY too rich OR the timing is out of spec.
