Answer 1
The core of the conflict between Israel & the Arabs is the Arabs refusal to recognize the state of Israel, beginning with their rejection of the 1947 UN Partition Plan (which Israel accepted). The charter of Fatah, the political wing of the terrorist group PLO which rules the PA still calls for the destruction of Israel, even though they agreed to remove it as part of the 1993 Oslo Accords.
Answer 2
The Conflict centers around a number of serious issues and it would be disingenuous to say that that there is any one core reason that the fighting occurs that differentiates it from any other conflict without looking at all of those issues. But fundamentally, the unwillingness of too many parties to allow both the Jews to have a State and live in peace and for the Arabs to have a State and live in peace is at the heart of the conflict.

Answer 1
A source of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians is control of the West Bank territory.
Answer 2
The main reason of the conflict between Israelis and Palestinian Arabs (I do not know who you mean by "Palestinians") consists in the following.
Palestinian Arabs, sponsored and supported by other Arab nations, try to push Jews out of all the territory of Palestine saying that "Palestine is the native Arab land" (and carefully avoiding answering the question, what Arabia is then). They say that Jews never lived in Palestine (or if they did that the current Jews have no descent from the Jews at that time), that Jesus Christ was a Palestinian and a Muslim (they even declare him a second prophet of Islam after Muhammad), that Jews have not any history in Judea and Israel (again carefully avoiding giving a direct answer to the question, why Judea and Israel were called so) and categorically refusing to share the land with Jews.
And Jews of course do not want to be again expelled from their native land: Judea and Israel, and respond to the strike with a counterstrike. I think anyone in their place would do the same.
