Is it a bolt, pump or semi-auto? What are the markings on it? Serial number? Are you saying the only engraving is around the trigger? None on the receiver? Without knowing these answers, you might be in a 200-2000 price range.
The value will be mainly determined by engraving. Who did it? Is it factory or aftermarket? Was it special ordered? Any accessories come with it? What type of wood used in the stock? Value range could be 100-1000 USD or more.

I'm not sure if your trigger is new or if your serial number is wrong. The gold trigger wasn't produced until the late 50's once the Japanese produced the Brownings but your serial number would put your gun as being made somewhere between 1903 and 1939.
Need a detailed description of all markings, what grade, finish, overall condition, serial number, accessories, box, papers, engraving, etc..
Need to know all the markings on it, barrel length, finish, engraving (if any) and the serial number. Without that information the broad price range is 100-1000 USD.
Sounds like you have a Browning .22 automatic rifle. It was made in Belgium, not St. Louis. Browning had their Headquarters in St. Louis for many years. It's possible that you have a Grade II rifle which has the fine engraving on a silver receiver. If this is the case, it's recommended that you have the gun professionally appraised. Grade II autos have really gone up in value and command a premium on the collectors market in top condition. Any Gun shop can help you determine value. Be sure to find out the grade of your rifle. You can also use the link below for a ballpark figure.
100-500 USD depending on condition.

Does it have the original box, manual or any accessories? Is it a standard rifle or does it have any engraving? Serial number? All affect value. Price range from 500-1500
The serial number is not complete. There should be a letter or letter/number combo above or preceding this serial number. Search the Blue Book of Gun Values to find a value

YES. There a number of Syrian Refugees in Belgium.
By this 4 digit number, the gun was made in 1904, but it would be an FN gun. Sure there isn't a Letter above or preceding the number? Cross Bolt safeties were introduced with some guns in 1951, and standard by 1952. Any Front trigger safety could be converted by the Browning service center to a cross bolt safety.
