They have to be in an open environment and they have to be in a dark place. Also they like to catch there prey without going far. They like to be near rough grass land because they can catch small mammals and rodents.
Well, it would depends on the type of owl won't it. The barn owl would live around barns because that is where their food is. My favorite the beautiful Snowy owl would live somewhere where it snows and its cold. just look it up on google there are lots of owls that live in many different places that are too cool
