The 700 has a lower first gear, and, with the overdrive will give better fuel economy. The 350 is a little stronger, and cheaper.

I guess you can if you want. But I don't know WHY you would want to. the 700R4 is a MUCH better transmission. If you change, your fuel milage will be WORSE and the Engine will turn more RPMs. ( Hard on engine )

It should be a 205 new prosess NOT.......... the 700R4 was not used with the gear drive NP 205, only earlier trucks with Turbo 350's or 400's it is more likely a np 207 chain drive
Yes but you may have to shorten the drive shaft if it is a 350 turbo going to a non electronic 700r4
