It is a field of study that specifically focuses on the impact that people have on organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Organizational Behavior is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structure have on behavior within organizations, for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organization's effectiveness.
It does this by taking a system approach it interprets people-organization relationships in terms of the four levels - the whole person, whole group, whole organization, and whole social system.
