Realtional databse is the type of databse which is bascially designed to store the deta on OLTP(Online transaction Processing) systems. Entity relatioship databases are basically designed for reporting perpose. It store the Data from OLAP( online Analytical Processing) systems.

Sorry, I'm not good in English, but I'll try to explain.

actually extended ERD is the ERD it self but with more relations. In other words some relationships in ERD was not seen, so these relationship are explained in EERD such as "Is_a" (Specialization,Generalization), "Is a Part of" and Aggregation
