Skydivers on average are very e savvy. They love to video and photograph their exploits and to share those experiences with the world via the internet.
The sport of skydiving is attractive to risk takers and people who love to engage in physical attivities in general. They are often professional people who already use the internet for business and the e advantage of skydiving is that these people are in a good position to network with likeminded people around the world for the betterment of their professional and personal lifes.
Professional skydivers need to be able to use technology to edit photos and DVDs for customers who want to relive their tandem skydive experience and to maintain a high level of record keeping that is demanded by aviation regulatory bodies. The advantage to individuals in the industry who are up to date and au fait with the online world cannot be overstated.
Skydiving can be dangerous if the equipment fails or the pilot makes an error. For example, hard landings, failure of the main and reserve parachute (extremely rare), canopy collision, freefall collision. With training it is possible to eradicate the likely hood of having a problem and thus the question of 'why is skydiving dangerous' becomes 'is skydiving dangerous to everyone who takes part'.
