well, it depends a lot.
imagine the 4 of a kind is for all players (the cards for the 4 of a kind came to the table). in this case, the player who has the highest card wins the pot. however, if the highest card is a community card as well, the pot is split, if you happen to have an Ace for example, you will win the pot.
if you have a pocket in your hand and the 2 other cards come to the table then the 5th card won't matter at all, but you always have to play with 5 cards
