A posture is the way you stand.
Gymnasts need to have a good Posture to preform well.
Normally if a Gymnast goes to their first "GYM" class they will be told by their instructor to improve there posture (Unless they have A good one all ready.)

Locomotion is like upright balance. When you take gymanstics they will teach you how to control your body and balance, so they will give you different body positions you have to hold which helps you with posture in movements/routines.
Sitting up straight and not slouching helps. Also when you stand put your shoulders back,chin up and your back straight. Exercise helps too.
