This deals with the bones that make up the spine, the vertebrae. Thoracic means the chest area and anterior means the front portion of each thoracic vertebra. Putting this together means that the vertebrae of the chest area are forming spurring or lipping. This often causes neck or Back pain. This is often due to aging and seen more often in people over 60. It is also called osteoarthritis.
