MahaJaal <-- Simple to remember, easy to understand

This term MahaJaal is frequently used in many English movies when they are dubbed in Hindi and Marathi languages. for e.g. Matrix

internet today is a super network hence = MahaJaal

--------------

we should call internet as door sanchar in Hindi

--------------------------

Door sanchar is usually translated to "telecommunication".

My logic would be - as Inter+national translates to "antar+rashtriye".

So breaking down internet:

inter + net = antar + jaal

So, I suggest, internet can be called "antarjaal" in Hindi.

- Om

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The word "net" here is making a connection among different entities. So it should be termed as " milap"- Ineter - Antar, Net- Milap,

It can be -- Antarmilap - in Hindi.

Whereas the translation Net--> jaal is in sense of "trap".

I feel Antarmilap will be more appropriate word.
