Probably the fact that the characters of manga/ anime are usually 'perfect' looking. Since it has been drawn/ animated they don't have blemishes and other marks that humans usually do. Also, since each manga/ anime is usually by a single artist, although the characters may have slightly different features, they are all similar in the way they are drawn, which makes you think that is what is 'attractive'.
