Cloning animals is a difficult process but many animals have been cloned. The most infamous one was Dolly the sheep and she was cloned in 1997. Although there has seemed to be a lower life expectancy in animals that have been cloned due to cancer.

Can you make a better plant by cloning?

Not really, cloning is the process of exactly copying an organism - which is done vegetative propagation of plants. This does not produce a better plant only an exact duplicate of the one that is being copied gene splicing and selective cross-pollination would produce a better plant

Is human cloning good?

Ban CloningYes, human cloning should be banned. In fact, all cloning should be banned. AnswerNo. All human cloning does is take one person's DNA and create a new person with that exact same DNA. It's just a new form of reproduction like in vitro fertilization.

Yes, the idea is to produce offspring that are better than the parents. Random mating or mating inferior animals does not lend itself to breed improvement.

How do clones affect society?

Its is hard to tell. Cloning animals could help to mass produce the best type - ie cloning a cow that holds the world record for milk production, so that benefits can be reaped by other farmers. Pet cloning is an industry that is already starting to take off, and although the clone will look almost exactly the same as its twin, because of environmental factors it will probably have a completely differentpersonality. Human clones are by far the most controversial Currently it is illegal, under international law, to clone a human, although it is possible to imagine a future with cloned humans. Human clones would be very similar to twins, and although it is possible to think of a few advantages of human clones (better worker productivity, more immunity to diseases) the consequences of things going massively wrong (the creation of a 'super race' which might consider itself above other humans, which could lead to mass genocide etc) are so great, that, at this moment in time, it is probably better not to risk it.
