Minnesota's five largest cities and their populations are:

Minneapolis: 385,542 (Twin Cities metro)

St. Paul: 281,262 (Twin Cities metro)

Rochester: 107,890 (Southeast MN)

Duluth: 84,419 (Northeast MN)

Bloomington: 82,960 (Twin Cities metro)

Between 2000 and 2010, 4 of the 5 largest cities lost people. The only one to gain people was Rochester, which gained around 23,000 people.

Most of the cities in Minnesota have grown. Here are the official 2000 census numbers. It will be interesting to see what the 2010 numbers are when they are released in 2011.

Minneapolis is number one with a population of 382,618. St. Paul comes in second with a population of 287,151. Rochester's population is 106,769. Duluth has a population of 86,918, followed by Bloomington, which has 85,172. The rest of the top 11 most populated cities of the state are as follows: Brooklyn Park - 67,388, Plymouth - 65,894, Eagan - 63,557, Coon Rapids - 61,607, Burnsville - 60,220, and St. Cloud - 59,107.
