Soup, cold food(as to not burn your numb mouth), foods that don't take much chewing(as to not accidentally chew up your numb mouth), nothing with a straw(so you don't pull out the blood clot), no Carbonated Beverages.
It depends on the type of dental work you have had. If it is a filling, usually you can eat most anything after a few hours. If it is an extraction, then soft foods several hours later are in order.
The new technology of dentistry lets the filling set quickly. However, it's best to eat slow and on the other side of your mouth just to be sure. If in doubt always ask your dentist any questions you may have. You can even phone them once home.
It is best to wait until the anesthetic wares off( if you have it). Your dentist will probably tell you not to eat for a while sot it gives the filling time to set probably.
When you do eat, the tooth with the filling will probably be sensitive to hot or cold things.
You can eat soft food that is not hard or sticky Plpain mashed potatoes, soft mac and cheese, etc. Try to eat on the side of your mouth that didn't have surgery and brush lightly around the area and rise very slowly to keep food particles out of the area. Also, you should eat before the surgery so you can go longer afterwards to give the area adequate time to heal before you try to eat or drink. Don't suck or spit if you can help it.
i would suggest something simple like soups
The fist two days limit yourself to solf foods that are not too hot nor too cold. After that you can start eating normally.

How long does one have to wait before they can eat after getting their teeth cleaned?
I had one that did!
Fillings are rarerly, if ever done on anterior teeth. That is, the twelve teeth in the front of your mouth never get fillings.
Its okay to eat, but its best to not eat. and if you eat, make sure you clean your teeth
Absolutely Yes!!! I've had white fillings since the mid 1980s--and you're not limited to Anything when it comes to eating with them. Brushing after every meal is recommended--as it is with your natural teeth.
He didn't want the teeth themselves, but the gold fillings or solid gold teeth some of the dead had. They were melted down and 'put to good use'.
NO! infact if you are ever getting braces you have too get check ups! and have your teeth the cleaniest they can be. Because the braces will make them harder to clean and more disgusting. But with invisaline you can take it out and get cleanings and brush your teeth. It's really great. And you can still eat the same foods like gum and carmle, and apples but with braces you can't
