There are many reasons people think Jesus was crucified; Mainly, it was to pay for our sins. He was targeted because the Romans feared he would gain more control over the people of Rome than the Roman government, as people started listening to his preachings.
Jesus was crucified because he loves you. He loves you so much he was wipped, beaten hung on two wooden planks and nailed to it. He was so bloody you couldn't tell who He was. But he died and came back for you. Just for you. He loves you.

I'm sure you can agree that you've done bad things in your life, right? I mean, you've at least lied once, stolen, cheated on a test, hurt someone, envied...the list goes on. If one commandment of the Ten God gave to Moses is broken, we then have a problem. See, God cannot tolerate sin. Just like your mom can't tolerate dirty boots in her house. Imagine that you are wearing clothing that is torn and dirty. Like covered-in-poo-snot-stink dirty. You wouldn't like. And God certainly doesn't like it either. God won't let you into His heaven with that garb. That's gross and He doesn't like it. But He loves you in spite of it all. So what does He do? Well, the only way into heaven is being perfect, right? You're not perfect, we already established. I'm definitely not perfect (I had an addiction to porn). So God, out of love, sent His only son (Jesus) to die for us. He was cruelly tortured. If you like movies and don't mind reading subtitles, go watch the Passion of the Christ. It outlines everything perfectly about what happened to Jesus. He went there for you. For me. For the liar, cheater, thieves, porn addicts...you name it, that's what He died for.
Because of His death, you are healed. Yes, when He died He gave you a knew suit of clothes. Why? I don't know. I still struggle with that part. All I know is, I'm forgiven because He was forsaken. I'm accepted, He was condemned. I'm alive in Him forever.
So what do you do with this information? Well, if you believe what I say (and it's true), then you need to ask God for forgiveness for everything that you did that you know was wrong. That doesn't mean say everything. You won't remember. But God does. And He'll forgive you if you ask. After that, ask Jesus to come into your heart (His Spirit, that is) to help you live better. I know that when I did that, I have not done anything along the line of porn. I still have other problems. Accepting Jesus doesn't make you perfect, but He'll help you. When nobody is there for you, He is. When you need comfort, He's there. When you are crying and can't say anything to explain, He already understands. You will be filled with a joy that you will never understand. I am. I've gone through the valley of the shadow of death. I know pain. I know suffering. And I definitely know what it's like to not feel clean.
Believe on Him. If you need more proof that I've given, go read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John + Romans.
