King George was very upset with Boston and tightened security in all major port cities.

He created the Intolerable Acts which: 1. closed Boston Harbor so food couldn't get in or out 2. said colonists couldn't hold town meetings without government approval 3. reinforced the New Quartering Act so colonists HAD to house British troops

It wasn't the king, but the British Government alone that closed the port of Boston and put in place a series of laws called the Intolerable Acts after the Boston Tea Party.
