Which meter measures the potential difference in the circuit?

A voltmeter measures the potential difference between two points, whether or not the two points are in the same circuit.

What an electrical cell is and how it causes a current in an external circuit?

An electrical cell is the basic unit from which electrical batteries are made. The cell is composed of two plates made of different conductive materials and a liquid electrolyte (in "dry" cells this liquid is in the form of a moist paste). Electric charge is produced between the two plates by the electrolyte interacting with and causing corrosion of one or both plates. Once the electric charge is produced the corrosion process slows or stops, unless an external circuit is connected between the plates. When an external circuit is connected between the plates, current flows through that circuit and the electric charge is slightly reduced. The corrosion process continues at a rate necessary to maintain the electric charge, until the chemicals in the cell are used up.

What does grounding a connector mean?

"Grounding a connector" means you join a connector in a circuit to another point in the circuit that is definitely at ground potential. This is done mainly when testing a circuit, to be sure that a particular point in that circuit really is at ground potential if you are not certain that it is already. Alternatively, you could be doing a test to temporarily ground a connector that is not normally at ground potential, to see what effect doing the test has on the behavior of the circuit.

Why do you treat water within a closed circuit cooling system of a building?

To deoxygenate the water, thus preventing corrosion

Corrosion in a circuit results in high current flow?

When there is corrosion in a circuit, it results in lower current flow. This is because corrosion actually causes resistance.

Why is an electricity not flow in an open circuit?

The electricity will flow from higher potential to lower potential in a closed circuit.

What is the terminal potential in the short-circuit?

in the case of short-circuit the current is maximum hence the terminal potential is becomes zero

What is the difference between electrical potential and electromotive force?

electric potential is potential difference between two points in closed circuit. but electromotive force is potential difference in any open circuit.

Is corrosion in a circuit result in a direct current flow?

As the circuit collects moisture and dirt leakage path are formed around the paths causing eventual circuit failures

Which part of the circuit supplies the potential difference in the circuit?

A battery or a generator.

Why is an electrical circuit made of materials that are conductor?

"Electrical circuit". "Electrical" meaning "electricity". "Circuit" meaning "around from the start back to the starting place". If any of the materials in that circuit path are not conductors, there is no circuit. The electricity only goes that far and stops. So all materials in the circuit must be able to conduct electricity.

What happens to an electrical circuit when there is unwanted resistance in it?

a common cause of this type problem is corrosion at a connector.

In which ways is a water circuit similar to an electrical circuit?

Water always flow from height to bottom mean high potential level to low potential level same happens in electrical circuit.

When all parts of a circuit are compose of conducting materials the circuit is said to be?

When all parts of a circuit are composed of conducting materials, the circuit is said to be closed. One condition could be a closed circuit, however it could be open if the components are not assembled or are assembled incorrectly.
