Concerning Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, season 2 is same plot as season 1. A mystery happens; they solve it. However, this new season actually has romance added between characters. Also, a mysterious "Mr. E" helps them solve some cases, though from behind the scenes, usually related to a previous group of mystery solvers. Additionally, unlike past renditions of Scooby-Doo Cartoons, there exists a much larger mystery spanning thus far the whole series. The first 26 episodes merely establish what the mystery is, and an anticipated season 2 (season 3 by Cartoon Network) is anticipated to solve the mystery (or mysteries?). Just watch to find out! (Cartoon Network channel)
This is slightly modified from the original plot of the old Scooby-Doo cartoons, of which numerous seasons exist. As with the new series of Scooby-Doo, the gang (Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo) or some modification thereof would stumble upon a mystery (typically dealing with a ghost or other spook). After finding clues, they would discover something about the identity of the person behind the monster's mask, set a trap, and then unmask the villain. The "catchphrase" at the end of each episode would include the unmasked monster remarking "I would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for you meddling kids," to which Scooby would merely say "Scooby-dooby-doo."

There are 4 if you don't include "The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show" and "The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries" as seasons (which I wouldn't because they have different introductions). Season 1 containes episodes with the entire gang including Scrappy. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 were with Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy. Season 4 also included episodes with Scrappy, Yabba-Doo, and Yabba's owner Dusty only.

The only Christmas episodes in Scooby-Doo are "A Nutcracker Scoob" of "The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries" and "A Scooby-Doo Christmas" of "What's New Scooby-Doo?". In "A Nutcracker Scoob" Scooby does wear a Santa beard in a small part of the episode when he disguises as Santa. In "A Scooby-Doo Christmas" the snow resembles a Santa beard and hat on Scooby after a crach landing in the snow.
Directors have not decided wheather or not there will be a scooby doo 3 but hopefully there will be!! :)
