Altering cave is basically a place where you can only catch low level zubats.
However, it seems that obtaining a certain item through 'Mystery Gift' unlocks other Pokemon such as Stantler and Houndour.
Although, since this is the case, it is unlikely that they will show up until after the Elite Four has been beaten.
Nothing but Zubat unless you have an E reader and E reader cards.

∙ 12y agofirst you go to six island then swim through the water path which will lead you to pattern bush and the green path the green path will lead you to outcast island and then your there at the altering cave
but really its useless because there are only zubats

∙ 15y agoUsing an e-reader you will find another Pokemon other than Zubat in the Altering Cave. u can get a fossil if u are lucky
