Usually a good gap is .35.If you see tha tyour engine is running rough or tha tis harder starting in the cold weather you can open them up to .40. Is it getting gas? Spark? Did you pump the gas pedal while you were starting/cranking the motor?
Try changing the oxygen sensor.
Could be spark in the motor, or the distributor and rotor need to be replaced.
a motor needs fuel, spark, and air to run. Check your plugs, unplugged sensor wires, distributer cap.
Remove the air filter housing. Now look to the left and right beside the valve cover you will see a FLAT squire black electronic device that will have at least 6 wires pluged into it. That will be it.
Need to check or replace the ingnition module in the Distributor.
