IVs are Individual Values, which determines a Pokemon's strength at birth or in the wild. IVs are generated randomly in each stat, covering HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed and cannot be trained or changed. The total max IVs a Pokemon can have is capped at 186, adding all stats having 31 IVs each. (Maxed IVs in one stat)
