The left ventricle is where the blood that is oxygenated is pumped from into the aorta. The atrium is the above the left ventricle, and the bicuspid valve (which controls blood flow) has a place where there is a more controlled amount of blood going into the aorta.

It is the chamber that pumps blood to the rest of the body.

It receives oxygenated blood from the left atrium via the mitral valve, and pumps it into the aorta via the aortic valve.
To produce enough pressure to push the blood out of the heart.

The left ventricl is what pumps blood to your body. Blood enters the Right atrium from the Vene Cava, travels through the tricuspid valve into the Right Ventricle, enters the Pulmonary Arteries (only arteries that carry de-oxygenated blood) and enters the lungs. The blood gets oxygenated and enters the Pulmonary Vein and travels to the Left Atrium and through the bicuspid valve into the Left Ventricle, through the Aortic valve and is pumped throughout the body.

The left ventricle is the chamber that pushes oxygenated blood to the aorta. This push causes blood to circulate throughout the body. It also has an effect on blood pressure, depending on how much blood is being pushed out.
