The five major ecological interactions are predation, competition, parasitism, commensalism and mutualism.

(AND ONE MORE TOO .... AMENSALISM)

These five r classified on the basis of the way of interactions ... ie ., beneficial, detrimental and neutral interactions .

*PREDATION:

is a detrimental interaction between two species involving killing and eating of a species by the other. Here the species which eat the other r called predators and the consumed is called prey.

*COMPETITION:

is a detrimental interaction between two or more organism for obtaining the same resources . There are two types of competition : intra-specific competition and inter-specific competition.

*PARASITISM :

its a detrimental interaction between two different species in which one derives food and the other is host. in animals there are two types of parasite ie ., ectoparasite and endoparasite. in plants there are two types of parasite ie ., total parasite and partial parasite .

*COMMENSALISM:

is a neutral interaction of two species in which one is benefited and the other is not harmed. here benefited one is called commenced and the harmed one is called the host .

*MUTUALISM:

is a beneficial interaction in which both partners are benefitted .eg: symbiosis.

*amensalism :

is a neutral interaction of individuals of different species in which one individual suppress the growth of the other .

eg : blue mold inhibit the growth of different bacteria by producing penicillin.

Mutualism: a relationship where the it's beneficial to both organisms involved

Parasitism: habitually relying on, living as a parasite

Commensalism: an association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm

Predation: the preying of one animal on others

Competition: interaction between organisms, populations, or species, in which birth, growth and death depend on gaining a share of a limited environmental resource

When does Predation occurs with in individuals?

Predation occurs when individuals in one species-population each kill multiple individuals in one or more other species-populations to use them as a resource.

What is an ecological population?

It is the collection of individuals of a species arbatarily, interacting and communicating with each other in a particular ecosystem of the biosphere.

How do interact with each other and their environment?

Organisms are not isolated in their environment. Organisms must interact with other individuals of their own species, with other species, and with their physical environment. The study of the interactions between organisms and their environment is called ecology (Greek: oikos- house; logia- study). The study of ecology can encompass all aspects of Biology; from physiology to behavior, because any change within an organism has the potential to affect its relationship with the environment.

How do species remain distinct from one another?

Once species have truly become distinct, members of the two species are no longer able to successfully breed with each other and produce fully viable offspring. This may be as little as a physical separation that prevents contact (e.g. new mountain ranges, isolation on islands), to changes in pheromones that individuals produce so that individuals of the two species are no longer attracted cross species even if they encounter each other, to as much as the development of complete genetic incompatibility (e.g. different numbers of chromosomes in the two species).

What is the swans conservation status?

All the Swan species are in Least Concern status which means that there are thousands of individuals in each species present in the wild.

Why is it important to know how plants and animals can affect each other in a food webs?

i belive it is important because if you don't no and you acceditly or purpossly killed somthing it could kill species after species after species and if you think about it our whole world is a food web
