They eat rabbits, arctic hares, and in the Sumemr, their fur changes to brown so they can go to the rocks and blend in when they hunt the baby birds that try to fly from the cliff. When the chicks fail to fly and fall on the ground, the fox will carry as many as they can bac to their den, or bury a few of the chicks for future meals when it goes icy again.
