The Best Depends on Your Tastes

First decide if you want to dine with the characters. If so, Cinderella's Royal Table, especially for breakfast, is an excellent option for all-day princess dining. The Crystal Palace features Pooh and friends all day. The Liberty Tree Tavern has character dining in the evening. (Lunch is a la carte without the characters.) To get reservations for character dining, you must call for reservations beginning 180 days in advance.

If you don't care about characters, I suggest counter service. My favorite is Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland because diners have a choice of burgers, chicken and Sandwiches. Pecos Bill's in Frontierland also has great burgers and a toppings bar with grilled onions and mushrooms. Some people love to try the Turkey Legs, which you can get at a cart in Frontierland.

You will find some WDW guests who love to dis the food at the Magic Kingdom. In my opinion, it has gotten better in recent years.

More recommendations from FAQ Farmers:

  • Disney veterans agree the Magic Kingdom has the worst food of any Disney theme park, which is saying quite a lot. The ambiance is the thing, here. Overpriced food is prepared in mass quantity at central kitchens, and transported to each outlet. The recipes are chosen for logistics, rather than taste appeal. Now that youve been warned, here are the best of the worst, in order:
  • The Liberty Tree Tavern offers hearty family fare with characters. (Updated: Liberty Tree Tavern no longer features characters.)
  • The Crystal Palace on Main Street offers a buffet with Disney Characters. Its a good way for the little ones to get some exposure to Goofy, Mickey and the gang, in an air-conditioned indoor setting. (Updated: Crystal Palace features characters from Winnie the Pooh.)
  • Tonys Town Square on Main Street is a good bet for simple fare in relatively uncrowded surroundings.
  • Cinderellas Royal Table has tiny, crowded tables in a unique location on the second floor of the castle. Like most restaurants with a fabulous view, the food is lousy. Stick to sandwiches and roast turkey. That doesnt seem to bother the dozens of screaming tots who crowd the place during lunch and dinner. Definitely arrange priority seating (call 407-939-3463) before you leave home, if this is a must for you.
  • I've been to Walt Disney World a lot over the years, and in my opinion, it's better to go with fast food at Magic Kingdom. If you eat at a more expensive restaurant, the food usually isn't that great, so just end up wasting a lot of time and money. It's usually just as good to grab some chicken fingers and french fries at some stand in between rides. If you are going to the other parks as well, save your money for the nicer restaurants at Epcot, or better yet, Animal Kingdom. They have excellent food almost anywhere for a reasonable price. However, Magic Kingdom does have a few things to check out for dessert. A personal favorite is the ice cream shop at the end of main street. They make fresh (not packaged) Toll House cookie ice cream sandwiches, with your choice of ice cream as the filling. If you're lucky you can even catch them when the cookies have just come out of the oven. It's definitely worth stopping by.

First, the Animal Kingdom is most crowded between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. Tour early after a hearty breakfast, snack on vendor food and eat a very late lunch. Or, eat lunch offsite, tour the park in the afternoon and then eat dinner either onsite or off.

The best menu items throughout the park are hotdogs and Hamburgers, deli sandwiches and (ironically, given the park's animal theme) grilled meats. The Flame Tree Barbeque in Safari Village can't be beat for food quality and atmosphere. Get a quiet table on the waterfront away from the crowds and unwind.

The Rainforest Caf頩s popular with kids. It can also make a good lunch option when you?re visiting other parks. Priority seating is recommended. The Rainforest has entrances from both inside & outside the park. Unlike Epcot?s World Showcase restaurants, for example, you don?t have to pay park admission just to eat at the Rainforest. There is actually a second Rainforest Caf頯n Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. DO NOT EAT AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM RAINFOREST CAFɮ Let?s just say it's food quality is not up to the (rather modest) standards of the rest of the chain.

****Animal Kingdom offers a picnic deal called 'picnic in the park'. For the price of a regular counter service meal per person you get a huge sandwich, side dishes, dessert and bottled water. We always go with friends and get the meal for 4. It has 4 sandwiches, 2 sides (we get a quart of potato salad and 4 single bags of chips) and each person picks dessert (apple, orange, brownie, rice krispie treat). We usually sit and enjoy sandwiches and salad but save the dessert and chips for munching later throughout the day. It also comes with a reusable cloth bag you can use for souvenirs. They do not offer childrens portions for picnic but it is large sandwiches that are plenty for 2 children to share. BTW, there is not a Rainforest Cafe in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, never has been...

There is plenty of fancy resturants. Rainforest cafe is fun, and there is a similar restaurant called T-Rex. There is a Mc Donalds. My favorite id Earl of Sandwich which is REALLY good. It is also pretty reasonable.

There are a lot of good places to eat in there. But if you want to save money, i suggest eating outside because its cheaper. I recommend going to the buffet across the street :)

Can anyone recommend a doctor near Walt Disney World?

With millions of visitors to Walt Disney World every year eating too much bad food, staying out in the hot sun without enough water, and generally having a good time, it's inevitable that some get sick. Often it's the combination of cotton candy and too much excitement on little tummies, or too much Florida heat. Unfortunately, the flu and severe colds are as likely to strike vacationers as anyone else. EastCoast Medical Network (407-648-5252) are on call 24 hours and make house calls to all Disney and non-Disney area hotels.

What is the European starling's favorite food?

Starlings are softbilled birds (this means that they eat a diet of soft foods). Starlings are not seed-eating birds like parrots, nor are they fruit-eating birds like some mynahs. They eat a diet high in soft-bodied insects and round out their diet with occasional vegetation and fruits. Although often described as omnivores, they eat a larger amount of insects than do many omnivorous birds. European starlings require animal protien in their diets, which they receive from eating huge numbers of invertebrates.
