If your Toyota is a 4 cylinder engine, it should hold 4quarts including the new filter being installed. Just drain the oil out, install the new filter, tighten the drain plug on the oil pan, then pour in 4quarts, start then engine, run it for second or so, shut it off and let it sit for couple minutes, pull out the dipstick, wipe it off, re-insert it and then pull it back out and should show full.
4.5 us quarts (4.2 liters).....
Any engine that the 03 Impala came with takes 4.5 qts.
'03 6.0 takes 15 quarts. '04 should be the same.
5.8 qts with an oil filter
7 quarts
12 quarts
on the passenger side of the engine its a black cap that has a oil pump drawing.
03 4.7 takes 6 qt. Do not think the 06 would be different. Look under "fluid capacities" in the owners manual.
one quart 10w40 four stroke motorcycle oil. do not use car or truck oil!
For your 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine : With engine oil filter change : ( 4.7 liters / 5 quarts of engine oil )
6 qts
I can find no specifications on a 1.8 L engine. Just drain the oil, and replace the filter with a new one. Pour in 3.5 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and let it run for 2 minutes. Shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and then add as necessary to reach the full mark on the dipstick. You now know the capacity. Do not overfill.
