The executive branch of the United States government is the branch that is responsible for carrying out the laws and performing all government services not directly related to Congress or the federal court system. Defense, tax collection,social services, agricultural services, the FBI,support for business, controls on banks and financial markets, navigation, drug enforcement, meat inspection,the FCC,the FDA, the NHI, the FAA, NASA, the NSF, the US embassies all over the world, etc are all part of this branch.
