What is the FIFA World Cup?
The FIFA World Cup is an international football or soccer
competition. The tournament involves 32 teams competing for the
title within the host nation. They have gone through qualifying
groups from their own regions in the world in an attempt to get to
the finals. The finals tournament takes about a month and it
happens every four years. Qualifying groups start almost two years
before the finals tournament. The most recent FIFA World Cup was
held in South Africa in 2010 between June and July and the FIFA
World Cup 2014 is going to be held in Brazil.
