that nosie is the wheels locking up, this doesnt usually happen in modern cars as they have anti-lock brakes.
A Geo Metro is a front wheel drive vehicle. When a squealing noise occurs when the wheel is turning, it can be an indication of damage to the CV joints.
check your wheel bearings
what would cause a rubbing noise on drivers side front wheel especially when braking ( I replaced rotor and wheel bearings are good) ?
Without seeing it , I will tell you that most of the time wheel noise that happens when you turn the wheel is due to a CV axle that is failing. Test is this way: go into a large vacant parking lot and turn the wheels to the right and go in reverse; is the noise worse? It may be if the joint is bad.Usually a wheel bearing will make a low growling noise; but you called it a squealing noise. I hope this helps a little.
Could be a bad CV joint or something to that nature.depends on what kind of noise it is
It is very hard to turn the steering wheel and/or a whining or squealing noise when you turn the steering wheel.
Worn Brake pads. ? needs to be more specific.
Probably a worn wheel bearing...have it looked at by a technician before it seizes.
The most common reason for a wheel to make noise when you brake is the brakes needing replacement. When the brake pads or shoes wear down, the metal scrapes against the metal on the drums or rotors, causing noise.
It sounds like wheel bearings. They make a noise while they're in one position but when you hit the brake, it moves them a little, and the noise stops.
Power Steering Fluid Or Power Steering Pump
r/f wheel bearing. the weight shifts to the left tire when you turn right so if the noise stops its the r/f wheel bearing.
