The significance of the Rosetta stone was that it allowed us to correctly read and translate ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. The two other presented texts are written in demotic and ancient Greece and it describes a drecree given at Memphis by the pharoah ptolmy. It's the whole reason we know anything about ancient Egypt and their way.

The Rosetta Stone enabled us to see what the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics meant, because we could finally decode their pictograms. We knew Greek and Latin, thus were able to read the hieroglyphics all over Egypt.
