Most commonly, you address cells by their column and row intersection. For example, the cell with the address B4 is in the second (B) column and 4 rows down from the top of the sheet.
You can also address a cell by R1C1 format. In R1C1 cell B4 would be 4,2. A third way to address a cell is by giving that cell (or even a range of cells) a name.

∙ 13y agoA system used by Excel and many other spreadsheet programs that allows users that have large spreadsheets to locate cells easily. Letters line the top of the spreadsheet and label horizontal content. Numbers allign the left side of your spreadsheet and label vertical content. This makes it easier for you to locate your content, simply by entering your "Cell Address" in the white bar at the top of the spreadsheet.
