Value of any firearm is based on EXACT make and model, condition, and originality. An ORIGINAL M1A1 carbine in excellent condition may be worth $1000, but there are civilian versions of the military carbine, and aftermarket "paratrooper" stocks that may be worth $200.
what year was my Winchester M1 carbine serial number 1210906 manufactured

The Chinese manufactured several variants of the SKS. Depending on specifics, you may looking at anywhere from $200 - $600+. Paratrooper models and the detachable magazine SKS-M and SKS-D fetch much higher prices than a standard Type 56 carbine.
Iver Johnson made the semi auto carbine in .22cal from 1985-1990.They made the Magnum semi auto carbine in .22mag.from 1985-1990.They made the Plainsfield semi auto carbine in .30 carbine,or 9mm Para. from 1978-1993.During this time span they also made a Paratrooper semi auto carbine.I hope this helps.
In the vicinity of $200 for a basic Type 56 carbine, up to $500 - $600 for some of the more 'exotic' models, like the paratrooper carbine, and detachable magazine SKS D and SKS M rifles.
They were manufactured from 1992 to 1998.
Many books have been written on the M1 Carbine. Good luck.

It depends on the condition it is in (beat up, dents, scratches, ect.), if all of the important parts are original, and if it was ever restored. Also, include the serial number.
You need to give the whole serial number.
